Cowabunga!
In July we released the SEWER SCUM PDF and BackerKit surveys (reminder to please fill that out if you haven't already). We also got the final screen-proofs back from the printer, and everything is approved. I'll send out updated fulfillment timelines for the physical books as soon as we have them.
I appreciate everyone's patience as the process of converting the PDF into print-ready files took much longer than anticipated, but the printer has been great and I'm sure it will result in the best possible printed book we could make! None of the text or art from the PDF was changed, we just had to fix some resolution issues stemming from old 1980s photos and overly distressed graphics. Everything has been taken care of, it just took more time than I expected.
NEXT UP: While the printer gets started on production, I'm going to start working on the second introductory adventure (stretch goal #2). Someone in the Discord already posted about running the first intro adventure in the play-reports channel and it sounds like they had a blast. It is SO cool to hear groups running my game and adventures for the first time, and hearing that they're having fun!

The wait is over! I am starting digital distribution of the SEWER SCUM PDF; please be on the lookout for an email from BackerKit with your download link! I've also uploaded the first introductory sample adventure "Bronx Rescue" to my website so be sure to check that out as well! In June we finalized the print contact. This took a little longer than expected, but the printer has been great to work with, and we're confident this will lead to the best possible finished product. We also cleared the manual review process for BackerKit, set up the pre-order store, and are almost done setting up backer surveys. Once those goes out, the survey will allow you to buy add-ons like additional copies of the book, 50-page character sheet pads, and there may be a limited number of the ULTIMATE SCUM tier pizza box dice trays available, too.
Physical Reward Fulfillment:
The BackerKit survey will collect your mailing address and payment method for shipping (which won't be collected until closer to fulfillment to make sure you get the most accurate shipping price possible). It will also have an option for in-store pickup. Since the delivery date of the books depends on the printer, if you're unable to make the to-be-determined pick-up weekend, we can always update your order to be shipped. I'll announce more details about the pick-up weekend at Elf 'N Moon gaming in Indianapolis when we get closer to fulfillment; we're hoping for late August/early September.

Hi Everyone!
We have a short one for you this month. All of the extras have come in and we have the details all worked out with the printer. Once I get them the final files and confirm everything will print well as-is, I can release the PDF of the book, so be on the lookout for another update later this month announcing that!
The first stretch goal is done as well so I plan to release the first one-shot adventure along with the PDF copy of the book.

Happy May, Scumbags!
April was a busy month and tons of physical products came in. We have the tear away character sheet pads, custom pizza print neoprene mats, pizza boxes, stickers, and rules reference inserts.
For the books, we've mostly wrapped up with the printer, but we are waiting for physical paper samples to arrive before finalizing the deal. Once we give the printer the final okay, we’ll work on getting the PDF released!
On a personal note, we’re moving to Brooklyn in May. This has added a lot to our plate, but we're still on track for a summer release. For anyone local to Indiana who ordered physical products: I’m planning an in-person pick-up option to save you from having to pay shipping. I plan to fly back for a weekend this summer, and you’ll be able to pick up your order at Elf N Moon gaming in Indianapolis. This will be an option in the shipping survey we send out when we’re ready for fulfillment. Ideally, I’ll also run some games at the shop that weekend while I'm there. Hi All!
For those who don't know, Kickstarter pledges aren't actually finalized until 2 weeks after the project ends, as that's the payment processing delay. So, much of this month was spent waiting on the final backer and reward numbers.
While we were waiting, we put the finishing touches on the book, character sheets, and rules reference, and we made a few updates to the online character creator (https://dicecats.com/sewerscum/chargen).
I also started working on an online episode seed generator; more to come on that in the future!
Now that the funds are in, we've started the ordering process for the character sheet pads, rules reference sheets, and raw materials for the dice boxes.
Next up is finalizing things with the printer and getting physical proofs shipped, so stay tuned for more updates in April!
