Shipping and Card Charges:
The last of the shipping materials came in today! This week, we are working on loading in shipping costs, with the intent to charge cards for shipping and any add-ons you bought through BackerKit by the end of the week. Then, we’ll move on to shipping, with pizza boxes going out first, then US books and character pads, and then international books and character pads.
The pizza boxes are all done and I think they turned out great; they are spray painted and hand lettered so no two are exactly alike!
There are a few countries for which we are unable to do DDP shipping (I think just Poland and Norway as of now) as USPS does not allow it, so a heads up to those few backers that you will need to pay VAT tax on delivery and we will collect less from you upfront.

I'll keep this one short, but this is a final reminder that surveys will be locked at the end of the day on Monday, Sept. 14. If you've lost your survey, you can access it here: https://sewer-scum.backerkit.com/backer/review.
I noticed that several people who have reached out about in-store pickup have not set that in their survey. If you want to pick up your book at the in-store pickup event on 9/19/26 and 9/20/26 at Elf 'N Moon Gaming, please make sure the country in your shipping address is set to "Local Pickup"

The books are here! Everything turned out great and we can now proceed with locking the surveys, in-store pickup, and shipping.
Surveys
Surveys will be locked in one week at the end of the day on Monday, Sept. 14. If you've lost your survey, you can access it here: https://sewer-scum.backerkit.com/backer/review.
This is your last chance to change your shipping address and add any extra add-ons. About a dozen people with physical orders haven't completed the survey, so please fill those out by the deadline!
Shipping
Once addresses are locked we'll be able to start loading in shipping prices. We're hoping to have all shipping costs loaded and ready to charge by the end of the month (most should be sooner, but some regions may be delayed).
In-store Pickup Event: 9/19/26 and 9/20/26
I will be at Elf 'N Moon Gaming in Indianapolis, IN on Sept. 19th and 20th (tentatively from noon to 7 PM ET, but the store has agreed to help hand out orders that weekend if I need to step away at any point). You can find their location and hours on their site: https://elfnmoon.com/.
If you would like to do in-store pickup, make sure you select "Local Pickup" under "Select your country for shipping" in the survey. If you need someone to come pick up your order for you, please let me know their name and your details (pledge type, name, and Kickstarter email) at [email protected] or with a Discord DM (Discord link at the end of the email).
Even if you don't need to do pick-up, check out Elf 'N Moon; they're a great local game store in central Indiana that has been very supportive of this project! It’s also where we did most of our public playtesting. I'll be in town that weekend playing RPGs and some card and board games as well, so come stop by and say hi!

August Update

RADICAL!
The books finished printing and are on their way from the printer. Sea freight shipping times changed since we started this process and were going to take longer than expected, so I upgraded to air freight. (I'm not passing that extra cost along to you all, just a treat as I'm ready for these books to be in your hands!) We're waiting until we can physically inspect them to make sure everything is alright before sending out any details on shipping estimates, but it should be very soon!
In August, I finished the second second introductory adventure "The Bronx Rangers" (stretch goal #2) as well as the bonus class "Cyborg" (half of stretch goal #3). Both are available now for free on the website: https://dicecats.com/#content.
NEXT UP: Our immediate priorities are receiving and reviewing the book shipment, collecting and locking BackerKit surveys, and calculating shipping. Once we get shipping underway, I'll have more time to get back to creative work to finish the third introductory adventure (second half of stretch goal #3) and the NPC portfolio.

Cowabunga!
In July we released the SEWER SCUM PDF and BackerKit surveys (reminder to please fill that out if you haven't already). We also got the final screen-proofs back from the printer, and everything is approved. I'll send out updated fulfillment timelines for the physical books as soon as we have them.
I appreciate everyone's patience as the process of converting the PDF into print-ready files took much longer than anticipated, but the printer has been great and I'm sure it will result in the best possible printed book we could make! None of the text or art from the PDF was changed, we just had to fix some resolution issues stemming from old 1980s photos and overly distressed graphics. Everything has been taken care of, it just took more time than I expected.
NEXT UP: While the printer gets started on production, I'm going to start working on the second introductory adventure (stretch goal #2). Someone in the Discord already posted about running the first intro adventure in the play-reports channel and it sounds like they had a blast. It is SO cool to hear groups running my game and adventures for the first time, and hearing that they're having fun!
