Hi Everyone!
We have a short one for you this month. All of the extras have come in and we have the details all worked out with the printer. Once I get them the final files and confirm everything will print well as-is, I can release the PDF of the book, so be on the lookout for another update later this month announcing that!
The first stretch goal is done as well so I plan to release the first one-shot adventure along with the PDF copy of the book.
As always, feel free to come chat on the discord if you want to meet other people interested in TMNT, rules-light RPGs, etc. There are some seriously talented artists in there showing off their art as well! https://discord.gg/8gKJjABXhg
April Update

Happy May, Scumbags!
April was a busy month and tons of physical products came in. We have the tear away character sheet pads, custom pizza print neoprene mats, pizza boxes, stickers, and rules reference inserts.
For the books, we've mostly wrapped up with the printer, but we are waiting for physical paper samples to arrive before finalizing the deal. Once we give the printer the final okay, we’ll work on getting the PDF released!
On a personal note, we’re moving to Brooklyn in May. This has added a lot to our plate, but we're still on track for a summer release. For anyone local to Indiana who ordered physical products: I’m planning an in-person pick-up option to save you from having to pay shipping. I plan to fly back for a weekend this summer, and you’ll be able to pick up your order at Elf N Moon gaming in Indianapolis. This will be an option in the shipping survey we send out when we’re ready for fulfillment. Ideally, I’ll also run some games at the shop that weekend while I'm there. Details will be posted on Discord as we get closer to fulfillment: https://discord.gg/8gKJjABXhg.
March Update

Hi All!
For those who don't know, Kickstarter pledges aren't actually finalized until 2 weeks after the project ends, as that's the payment processing delay. So, much of this month was spent waiting on the final backer and reward numbers.
While we were waiting, we put the finishing touches on the book, character sheets, and rules reference, and we made a few updates to the online character creator (https://dicecats.com/sewerscum/chargen).
I also started working on an online episode seed generator; more to come on that in the future!
Now that the funds are in, we've started the ordering process for the character sheet pads, rules reference sheets, and raw materials for the dice boxes.
Next up is finalizing things with the printer and getting physical proofs shipped, so stay tuned for more updates in April!
WE DID IT! THANK YOU!

Hi everyone,
Thank you all so much! We couldn't be more thrilled with how many of you showed interest in this project, and we’re so excited to get it out to you all!
Next Steps:
- Receive the funds from Kickstarter and finish preparing Backerkit. Backerkit will allow you to do things like change your address if you move before we ship, add extra items you meant to order, and allow us to collect shipping costs later in the process to ensure we're only charging you the most up-to-date necessary amount.
- Get updated quotes from both printers (book and character sheets) with our final order numbers.
- Get proofs from the printer. It's possible that slights tweaks need to be made, but this should be quick, besides the shipping delays on the physical proofs. Once the proofs are locked in, we'll release the PDF.
- Get everything printed. This one takes the most time and is out of our hands, but our printer has assured us a fast turnaround.
- Once everything arrives, we will start physical fulfillment. At this stage we will collect shipping funds and lock in final addresses. Our goal is to start shipping the books by the end of June 2026.
Stretch Goals:
We unlocked 3 stretch goals with 4 digital-only rewards! I'm going to try to get these finished by the time the PDF releases, but we might start with a few and post more as we post updates later. I want to take my time on these and make sure they live up to the quality of the rest of the project.
P.S. The robot class won the vote for the bonus class!
Commitment:
Assuming everything goes smoothly, I will post a monthly update of everything that's going on with the project to reduce spam and keep information easy to find. There's a lot to do and I'm a solo creator, but I have plenty of help from friends and family.
If there are any major delays, even those outside of our control, I will unlock extra stretch goals to make up for it.
There are folks on the Dice Cats discord: https://discord.gg/8gKJjABXhg chatting about OSR house rules, '80s movies, cool NYC-crawl game resources, and more. If that's your jam, come say hi!
Third Stretch Goal Unlocked!
– Sat, Feb 21, 2026 at 03:23:35 PM
Hello all!
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to and supported this project! With just 5 days to go, we unlocked the third stretch goal. This goal includes two rewards. First, there's another intro adventure called "Citywide Blackout,” which takes inspiration from the real 1977 NYC blackout, along with mob movies. It sends players through chaotic Manhattan riots and into the organized crime world of Staten Island.
Second, this stretch goal includes a bonus digital-only 7th playable class submitted by one of our playtesters. There are two options for this one: Insectoid and Cyborg. The Insectoid is a more Cronenberg-style mutant than the other 3 anthropomorphic animal mutant classes. It can be a literal insect mutant, or more of a C.H.U.D. situation. The Cyborg covers playing as varying degrees of human-machine, including a straight up robot.
The preferred place to vote is on the Dice Cats discord: https://discord.gg/8gKJjABXhg Look for the post about the third stretch goal in the "announcements" channel. If you're unable to do that, you can also reply to this update with your preference.
It's getting close to the end and we can't wait to get moving on the next steps of this project!
